Healing the Voice IS sharing yourself; to conceal or reveal?

How much of your day is spent in concealment as opposed to revelation of your true nature?

We unconsciously ride the line between concealment and revelation of our true nature in varying degrees, depending on outside stimuli, measures of safety, and conditioning. Concealment, or hiding, may occur when we don't feel safe to show ourselves, have unhealed wounds from being silenced, devalued, feeling not enough, judged or wrong, or that it is necessary to change what is inside ourselves, who we are at the core, to be loved. In other words, we are still experiencing ourselves as a victim in some way, having learned a concealing or masking coping mechanism, for self preservation. Or we may chose to conceal for other good reasons, because it actually isn't safe, or wise, to share our true nature, in that moment. But this is much more rare in the modern age. Usually it is perceived lack of safety based on our conditioning that causes concealment. Revelation of our true self is what we can do when we feel safe to share, we cultivate safety in ourself to share, or we chose to show up courageously despite still feeling discomfort. This is a practice that can be cultivated over time.

The path to sharing yourself more is to slowly bring awareness to the masking, the concealment, how it has protected you in the past, and send love to it, feel into it. Often the part that wants to be revealed will show itself when the coping mechanism has been felt fully, and acknowledged that it is actually safe now. Slowly, it is possible to strengthen a sense of safety within, and courage to go into the discomfort zone of sharing yourself a bit more each time.

How do you show up for yourself, how do you voice your truth, DO you voice your truth? Do you mask it, or change the nature of it to make it more palatable? Only you can chose your inner state for you, how much you reveal your true voice to the world, and your willingness to step forward into the world with courage.

You have always had full agency of whether you will show up authentically in this world. You are not a victim. You might experience yourself as a victim, but that’s an internal experience that can be worked out inside you, and with support you can ask for from outside. I have found the victim to be quite strong in work with the voice. And in this case personal agency is also being healed when revelation is practiced. You DO get to chose. You CAN chose to show up for yourself! You CAN get the support you need. You ARE able to be who you want to be and share yourself joyously with the world!

Self revelation is the ACTION of empowerment. It is what we DO physically, metaphorically, emotionally, and spiritually, when we learn to reveal our true voice!
It is a conscious choice, a practice and capacity we can cultivate, to step forward into the world, away from passivity and concealment into the action of revelation of our true gift: our voice! The constant and miraculous unfolding of ourself to share with the world around us is a sacred and beautiful thing!

The process of revealing our true nature in sound form can be painful, because we are so used to concealing ourself, for good reasons, in the past. So we have to practice willingness to go into the discomfort, and learning to create more capacity in our bodies to hold all of our experience, including the discomfort of feeling difficult emotions.

Something magical happens when we show up for ourselves, as ourselves. We end up MODELING how to be ourselves, and inspire others to do the same. So, by literally just showing up as ourselves, authentic, vulnerable, we change the world, we create a world imbued with more authenticity and truth, where we DO feel safe to exist as we are, because we have created capacity in ourselves to show up as we are, and then others can show up as themselves as well!

When we practice using our voice, we can experience and presence in our bodies what needs to heal in us to share our true gifts more fully with the world. Finding your true voice is a consciousness expansion practice. But then you get to SING too! How cool is that??!!
