Community Healing through voice activation, music-making and shadow work

A year and a half ago I was in Peru with Tito La Rosa sitting with sound as medicine to journey deep into our hearts. We each intuitively picked an altar cloth, holding two ancient archetypal symbols from the Andean cosmovision. I have been sitting with these two symbols ever since, and learning how they have meaning for me. It's similar to an oracle card, I suppose, but for me it felt much deeper and more significant, closer to revealing my human design chart or my Mayan Astrology.

The first symbol here is the light brown one. It has four heads on top of the orb, and each head has four heads on it, so 16 heads total. In order for four heads to fit on each, they have to share eyes. It is a collective, a community. THEN, the magic continues because this symbol is actually a FLUTE. There are two tones, which I play. In order for this community to be entrained together in music, sound, healing energy, all I need to do is show up. I have seen this happen time and time again with music-making, jamming, sound healing, breathwork, and voice activation. Somehow just my presence invites others to use their voice, express themselves more, and collectively come together. Of course I also have extensive musical training, which is a tool to aid this process, as well as the depth I've gone on my own personal healing journey. The more healing I do for myself, the more I get out of my own way in aiding this process. At the core it is permission to express oneself, creating a safe container really, and coming together in unity with the collective (showing up!). So beautiful to witness and such a priviledge to see how I can contribute in this way.

The second symbol is the shadow. It is darkness itself. In and as much as I have bravely gone into the shadows myself, I can then guide others to navigate there. I can find my own safety in the shadows, so that I can welcome others to find safety there for themselves as well. What are the shadows that are unconsciously guiding your path? What you aren't aware of in the darkness of your unconscious is what is truly controlling your life. How can you bring more awareness to these parts? What is there? Is it fear of being seen, of being judged? Of not being enough or good enough? Shame from being seen or exposed? Pain of being silenced?

All shadow parts are asking for awareness, recognition, and love. Recognizing the validity of their experience can help release the fragmented unprocessed energy that goes along with these parts. When given recognition of the validity of their experience with soft loving awareness, we can then welcome these fragmented parts back into the whole, and feel the deeper truth underneath that: all parts of ourself, our shadows especially, want to be seen and loved. In recognizing all parts of ourself as valid and worthy of love, we can allow ourselves to be fully whole, show up fully for ourself, and allow ourselves to be seen. This simple and profound act of self love and integration within will allow each one of us that has done the work to show up for others in the way they have met themselves.

It is a pleasure for me to be myself, and to show up in service on the level that I have integrated myself. If this is resonating with you, how can I serve you to help you navigate and integrate your own shadows, to help you express yourself more fully, and to align with your true voice, true self, truest beingness in free-flowing aliveness?
